Using Citrix Receiver with Morningstar Air Express

Please ensure that you have completed all the Prerequisities listed below.

Prerequisites

  • ADAccount
    • You require an account on the Active Directory system in order to use this system. Please see the ADAccount pages for more information on this if you do not have one of this type of account. Note that having an ADAccount does not automatically give you access to the Citrix Systems. As licensing must be provisioned for each user of the Citrix system Morningstar is only allowing access to those who licenses have been acquired. Please contact Information Tech to request additional licensing for access to the Citrix systems.

  • LookupCitrixReceiver
    • Complete installation of the Citrix receiver application. You will have the Citrix receiver icon in the lower right of your windows screen if this is complete. Please review the instructions at LookupCitrixReceiver to complete the installation.

Using the Citrix Receiver with MAEI Systems

  1. double click on the Citrix Receiver icon Receiver-Icon.PNG
  2. In the window present click on the Log On link along the top of the screen.

  4. Enter your AD Account information, remember your username is now in the form an email address. Click Log On when you are done.

  6. Give the system time to establish the connections. Depending on your connection speed and latency it could take 30-40 seconds to logon. You will know you are logon on when the Log On link along the top of the winow is replaced with your name.

  8. If this is the first time you are loging on to the system you will have no application installed to your profile. Your screen will look like the one present below. To install any application your user account has access to click the + sign locate at the left of the window.

  10. We will use Q-Pulse as the example for this installation. Select the Q-Pulse apps group from the list provided and click on the Q-Pulse Remote to install the Q-Pulse desktop client on your profile.

  12. The installation should only take a few seconds. You will know the install is complete the full icon for the application is present on your main screen.

  14. This installation will also install the application on your Start menu as well. With Windows XP it will be found in All Programs

  16. To use an application which you have installed you can click on the application icon found on the main Reciever screen or from your start menu. Be aware that if you are presented with a logon window when you start the application you must use your AD user account.
