Morningstar ADAccount

Purpose

The Morningstar ADAccount or Active Directory account is one of the methods for authentication and authorization for Morningstar Windows servers and systems. An ADAccount is maintained on at he active directiory systems with in YEG Head office systems.

Much of this information is maintenance for a contact database in addtion to providing authentication controls.

What Systems is this account used for:

  • YEG-HO Network Login and security
    • workstation logons
    • departmental drive access groups
    • files system permissions on YEG-FS systems
  • Citrix Login and security
    • citrix receiver logons
    • application access groups
  • Exchange email and Calendering login and security

How do I reset or change my ADAccount Password

Morningstar Information Tech provides several methods for resetting your password. Depending on where you are located and what you have access to any of these methods will provide the ability to change your current password. If you account is disabled or you unable to change your password with one of these methods you must contact the Information Tech helpdesk as soon as possbile.

How do I request an ADAccount:

All new employees who require access to the system listed above should have an ADAccount created for them. If you require a new account please contact your manager and have them request a new account by creating a ticket in the helpdesk system or by sending an email to helpdesk@maei.ca.
