Setting up the Citrix Receiver for Morningstar Air Express

A new Citrix server system has been implemented for Morningstar Air Express. These changes are to go into effect in January of 2014 and will change the way one connects to the Citrix system and applications such as Q-Pulse when you are outside of the head office in Edmonton.

Prerequisites

Please ensure you have all the required information and software listed below before starting this process in order to make the transition as seamless as possible.

• ADAccount
  • You require an account on the Active Directory system in order to use this system. Please see the ADAccount pages for more information on this if you do not have one of this type of account. Note that having an ADAccount does not automatically give you access to the Citrix Systems. As licensing must be provisioned for each user of the Citrix system Morningstar is only allowing access to those who licenses have been acquired. Please contact Information Tech to request additional licensing for access to the Citrix systems.
• CitrixReciever
  • A version 4.x or greater is required to access all of the functions in our Citrix System. While other revisions of the CitrixReciever may work with Morningstar's Citrix installation little to no testing has been done with CitrixReciever versions older than 4.0. This means you are required to update your CitrixReciever to the latest version of the software before starting the process listed below.

Receiver Configuration and Connection Process

With this version of Citrix InfoTech has worked to make the configuration and connection as simple and flexible as possible. Should you require help getting this process to work please contact Information Tech at 780-229-1709

1. Double Click on the Citrix Receiver icon on your start Menu
2. When presented with the screen below enter your @maei.ca email address and click next
3. 
4. The receiver will now go and find the Morningstar configuration and request your ADAccount information.

6. An Add Account windows will be presented you must click yes in order for the Recevier to have access to your local computer to configure the required plugins.

8. Allow the download to complete this may take several minutes to complete.
9. 
10. Once the install is complete you will see this screen. Click Finish to exit the install and begein using Citrix.

12. Once complete the computer must be rebooted to complete the finial sets of the install.
