Citrix Receiver
Introduction
The Citrix receiver is a software framework which allows for connectivity to the Morningstar Citrix applications and desktops. This page contains all information which relates to the installation and maintenance of this piece of software for the end user. The receiver is available for several different operating systems such Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7 and 8 as well as Apple Notebook, desktops and iPads.
Morningstar Information Tech department suggests using the Version 4.0 or newer of the Citrix Receiver as other versions have not been extensively tested.

Installation of Receiver (Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3)
It is best to remove all exisiting version of the receiver before proceding with the installation as the upgrade process can at times cause some issues. Please see the Removal of Receiver (Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3) section of this document for more information.
Download the Receiver Installer.
- Browse to the Citrix Website
- In an internet browser go here: http://www.citrix.com You will be present with the Citrix homepage.
- Select the download section of the website by clicking on the download link.

- In the Most Downloaded section click on the Citrix Receiver (ICA) link

- Read and Agree to the Citrix License Agreement. After reading the text of the licenesing document you can mark the check box and click the Contine button.

- If you are presented with the Yellow options bar in IE select download file from the menu present when you click the yellow bar.

- The File should now download if you have used Internet Explorer you can now select Run from the Security Warning windows presented to you.

- Allow the file to download and start the install.
- If you are presented with the window below select Run to allow the installation to compete

- Click Install button when presented with this window and allow the install to complete

- Once complete you will find this icon
in the task bar.
